Spring break is upon us and with it comes travel plans for families as well as for spring breakers. Many people will take to the airways or to the roads in search of some fun or much needed R & R. In the meantime, they’re focused on what to pack and how to optimize one small suite case or duffle bag.
Traveling can be tricky when it comes to beauty, while we want to travel lightly, we also want to look terrific. But, when we travel it’s extra important to have products that promote hair health in order to achieve this.
Being out in the sun, or traveling into environments with different types of water, can take a toll on the hair. I recommend putting together a hair travel package with some specific items.
Some tips that I recommend include a professional moisturizing and hydrating shampoo and conditioner. Equally important is a clarifying shampoo that will remove buildup on the hair from foreign water and products.
Next, sunscreen is a must; especially if you have thinning hair. It’s important to keep your scalp protected from the sun. A deep conditioner is another item to pack. To make room for all of these items, I suggest using 4 oz plastic travel bottles which should work perfectly to get you through 7-10 days of travel.
A few other items that you will want to toss in your luggage include a hat to keep your color from fading and hair ties, headbands, and bobby pins. Remember, even when traveling it’s important to use professional products, treat your hair kindly, and do what your stylist recommends. Have a great spring break!
