Change: I’ve Made a Move, Now in San Diego, Family and Styling Hair Still Rank First in Heart, by Gina Rivera, Phenix Founder And Beauty Expert

Happy Holidays from sunny San Diego! I have made the move from Colorado Springs. It is truly beautiful here but, I will tell you, I am more than a bit sad about leaving home.

Colorado and the Rocky Mountains will always be where my husband and I met, where we still have so many great friends and where we opened our first Phenix Salon Suites. We made the difficult decision because we wanted to be on the West Coast where we believe there is tremendous potential for growth in the franchise arm of the business and in  the demand for Phenix Salon products, including the hair and skin care lines and the new Tools by Gina. At least for a while, this is where I need to be.
Of course, I will continue styling hair. More than just what I do for work, this is who I am. I began my career as a little girl working in my parents’ salons sweeping floors. I will always style hair. I am accepting appointments at 619.331.2834. Having made the move I feel now like I have lived in two of the most beautiful places on earth. I also feel that I will never be far from Colorado or, really, anywhere in this beautiful country where there is a Phenix Salon. I can always walk into one of these locations and find stylists like myself who love what they do, who understand the importance and joy of caring for their clients and pursuing their passion and art. What I also know is that we are never far apart. I travel the nation regularly. I will be visiting Phenix Salons near you soon for our Education Experience series of classes, and we will all be at the Annual Reunion in Las Vegas in the spring.
As always, Phenix is more than a business, it is a family and nothing is closer to my heart.
