So, you’re busy shopping, busy decorating, and now the holiday events are approaching. One thing for certain, you want to look terrific for the festivities regardless of what they are. With that in mind, here’s a few things that I recommend that you have on hand to ensure the perfect look!  If you’re a stylist you most likely have these items in your cabinet, so, these are good reminders you can share with your clients if you haven’t already.

To begin, healthy hair is the foundation for any great look. So, stock up on professional shampoo and conditioner that will contribute to keeping the hair healthy and shiny. However, no matter what you select, make sure to avoid using over the counter products that often leave the hair dull and dry looking. Like gel, keep in mind that hairsprays have different holding factors when making your selection.

Remember to stock up on your styling tools as well. As always, it’s important to have a good comb or brush to obtain the right look. These are basic items but important. You can rely on them when creating precise styles. For example, by simply teasing the hair at the base and gently smoothing over, you have a whole new look.

Hot tools are equally important. The right blow dryer is important for cutting dry time and also for preventing over-heating. Curling irons are also a staple that can be utilized for beach waves or to create tighter ringlets for updos. The sky is the limit. And, don’t forget a good flat iron.
