“The customer is always right”, is a saying that I live by regardless of who is correct.
We all have clients who are perpetually late or confused about when their appointment is. Though this can be really frustrating, make sure you keep your cool in these situations. Work through schedule challenges with your client by rescheduling or squeezing them in later that day if possible. Most importantly, keep a harmonious relationship with your client, be calm and understanding.
As I always say, become a Master of Relationships. I realize that this isn’t always easy. Especially, if we have a client that is never quite satisfied. In this situation, before you create discord think of your options. It may be something that can be solved with a discussion or you may need to make recommendations for another stylist. Either way keep a positive and respectful approach. Remember often a client’s attitude has more to do with outside pressures than you. So, strive to be as understanding as possible and make sure you focus on working through challenges professionally. It will pay off in the long run!
